As a Straight Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our Company.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, liftgates.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage (Samsara) and fuel usage.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving.
- Must be able to cross the Canadian border
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a valid enhance driver license to cross the border and enter into Canada.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role within courier or delivery services is preferred.
- Experience in route driving and commercial driving is essential.
- Previous experience in customer service is highly valued.
- Ability to operate loading equipment such as pallet jacks, liftgate is a plus.
- Knowledge of moving procedures and logistics operations will be beneficial.
